You have a great resume, you have all the qualifications we are looking for, but we're not going to hire you. We will, however, use your resume as the basis for comparison for all other applicants. But, we're going to hire somebody who is far less qualified and is probably an alcoholic. And if he doesn't work out, we'll hire somebody else, but still not you. In fact, we will never hire you. But we will call you from time to time to complain about the person that we hired.

Today, for the first time in years, someone touched my bare feet. Unexpected, yet pretty nice... that oil was the shit.
Also, I should finish my projects already.

fireheadmx: Que opinas?

Jack Johnson "She's only happy in the sun" |

it feels weird. somehow i feel lonely, but on the other hand, i don't think i should need someone else to make that up. i should feel fine by myself, then consider adding another person to the formula of my happiness. i know that, that's rational. although, rationality doesn't seem to help my current situation. should happiness depend on other's approval of my person? should my existence's sense be based on third parties' opinions? as i said, it shouldn't; but apparently it does. what if i was left alone in an island? would i go mad? would i be happy being isolated from all society? i've -kinda- tried it, and it worked in a weird-psycopathic-selfdestructive sort of way: i felt self sufficient, independent; but i was not entirely happy. lately i've avoided certain means of team work. and it has worked. i've been decently productive, and i've felt proud of my work because it was genuinely my very own. do i suck at social interaction? perhaps i'm just not as good at it as i wished i was. all this selfishness has left me partially impaired for meaningful relationships: barely anyone knows me for real; not even my family knows the real firehead, and only a few friends can get a glimpse of my true self every once in a while; i can lie with no regrets.. like someone told me, i have a great poker-face. but why do i do it? am i scared of another wound, or do i actually choose to remain in the shadows? do lies set me free of the responsability of fulfilling other's expectations? i know i am a big lie, even here i lie to myself, even though i know for certain i am the only one that reads this journal, i keep lying to myself, talking to myself as if i was talking to someone else. multiple personality disorder? no way, i just dig the idea of someone paying attention to my silly and pretentious analysis. am i happy doing this? does living this way make me happy? i'll answer myself later, i've already spent twenty-five minutes writing this.
